The Crypton 630 brake tester in its day was a popular choice for many truck and coach operators. Around the UK hundreds of them still exist despite the fact most of them are extremely tired and finding replacement parts is extremely difficult and for some items impossible.

Replacement is the simplest option, but there-in lies another problem, workshop downtime.

A lot of these brake testers were installed in a doorway hence replacement is not simple as it sounds because workshop productivity will be affected. Then, if you make the decision to buy a replacement the new one will always be a different size, so a builder will be required to create a new hole in the ground for the new machine.

VTEQ looked at this issue and developed the VTEQ5100-01 model 630 upgrade.

A neat simple alternative requiring no building works and a swap over time of about a day.

Utilising the already popular BRAK5000 model you will have a 13 tonne axle weight, bi-directional roller brake tester with HGV/ATF Testing Approval as well as meeting the requirements for Class 4, 5 & 7 testing having the latest "connected" capability. 

The roller set includes features such as Roller Lock, Soft Start motors, bi-directional testing, 4WD testing, automatic weighing, remote control, NORD motor-gearboxes, robust work station, PC package with 23” Monitor, DVSA database and In-cab tablet operation. 

Options include space saving console, remote access and metal installation frame if preferred.
